Pat Parris spearheads "The Giving Project – Doing Well, by Doing Good" in partnership with the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. The first week of each month Pat presents a new nonprofit organization that is making a positive impact in our community and asks you to consider making a donation. Even $5 or $10 will make a difference for those in need.
This September, the KGUN 9 Giving Project looks at If You Give a Child a Book, a national campaign to buy books for children at Title One schools, that is hyper-focused on the Tucson area.
You can donate to the If You Give a Child a Book campaign through the link on our website.
Thank you to our generous viewers for supporting our August Giving Project with Ability Dogs of Arizona. An estimated $12,407 was raised over the course of the month. Your donation is helping this nonprofit provide service dog training, facility dog training, and pet dog classes for the public.
