Pat Parris spearheads "The Giving Project – Doing Well, by Doing Good" in partnership with the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. The first week of each month Pat presents a new nonprofit organization that is making a positive impact in our community and asks you to consider making a donation. Even $5 or $10 will make a difference for those in need.
For KGUN 9's April Giving Project, we're supporting Friends of the Pima County Public Library, a Tucson-based nonprofit that supports our public libraries through book sales and book donations. Friends of the Pima County Public Library also help encourage community involvement, love of reading and sustainable re-use of books and other media.
You can donate directly to the Friends of the Pima County Public Library through their website. The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona will match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $500 each month.
Thank you to our generous viewers for supporting our February Giving Project with the Sister José Women's Center! With your help, we raised $4500 for this Tucson nonprofit.
