Jacqueline Aguilar

Jacqueline Aguilar joined KGUN 9 as a multimedia journalist in February of 2024.

Born and raised in Yuma, AZ., she is no stranger to the unforgiving Arizona heat. Now this U of A wildcat is excited to be back in Tucson and is looking forward to involving herself in the community.

Her dream of reporting on TV sprouted from watching live streams on social media of reporters on the field in the middle of 'Black Lives Matter' protests during the COVID-19 pandemic—and from wanting to be on the big screen in TV shows and movies after taking theatre classes in high school.

Jacqueline has two beautiful Siberian huskies, Roma and Chemino, that keep her plenty busy when she's not working. You can find her at the dog park or at any local coffee shop ordering her usual iced cold brew with cream!

She graduated from the University of Arizona in December of 2021 with a bachelor's degree in digital journalism and a minor in information science. Jacqueline worked for The Daily Wildcat, UArizona's student-run newspaper for both the sports and opinions desk. She most recently worked at her hometown's only news station and held several roles. Starting as a digital content producer, she eventually became a multimedia journalist as well as an anchor and producer for the morning shows.
