TUCSON, Ariz. - Former Arizona Wildcats star Allonzo Trier overcame NBA draft disappointment to reach the promised land of an NBA contract.
According to ESPN, the 6-5 guard signed a two-year, $7 million contract with a team option for the second year.
After foregoing his senior year to turn pro, Trier went undrafted but landed a two-way contract with the Knicks organization. He cracked the roster and has been a regular contributor throughout the season, averaging 11.3 points per game.
In his time at UA, Trier was ensared in a scandal that forced him to miss 19 games after he tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug he unknowingly took.
