SAN DIEGO, Ca — The Tucson Sugar Skulls knocked off the San Diego Strike Force 65-48, winning all four games this season in a battle of IFL expansion teams.
Down 38-37 in the third quarter, Tucson took the lead for good when Matt Behrendt found Jeremiah Harris for his first career IFL touchdown, and he promptly celebrated by doing a backflip.
The Skulls forced three turnovers, and Mike Jones returned from missing a game due to an ankle injury to score two touchdowns, bringing his season total to 16.
Tucson next plays at Bismarck on Saturday, May 18th.
