TUCSON, Ariz — Mike Jones accounted for three touchdowns and quarterback Jake Medlock helped Tucson to a 51-31 win over the San Diego Strike Force in front of 4,004 people at the Tucson Arena.

Medlock got his first start at quarterback and threw for two touchdowns while running for two more scores. No Tucson quarterback has thrown an interception.

"It doesn't matter if I'm starting or doing a two-QB system," said Medlock. "You have to prepare for every game like you're the starter.

On defense, Zach Allen and Cam Gaddis each intercepted passes.

"We just dialed in," said head coach Marcus Coleman. "What they ran in the first half was it, game-plan wise. We made a few adjustments. I called some plays on defense. And, we made some plays to that point."

The Sugar Skulls were up 17-14 in the second quarter when they lined up for a field goal. Matt Behrendt mishandled the snap but kicker Diego Marquez picked up the ball and ran it in for a touchdown.

The 3-1 Sugar Skulls head to Nebraska for a game next week against the Danger.
