Stars defeat Roadrunners 5-4 in OT, take 2-1 series lead

Sheldon Dries beat Roadrunners goalie Adin Hill in overtime as Texas defeated Tucson, 5-4, to take a 2-1 series lead.

Roadrunners defenseman Dysin Mayo made a costly turnover at the side of his own net and Dries took advantage by beating Hill, who stopped 27 of 32 shots.

Dakota Mermis scored twice for Tucson, who rallied from a 4-2 deficit heading into the third period. Carter Camper tallied a goal and two assists, and Lawson Crouse picked up three assists. Trevor Murphy added a goal and an assist, and Conor Garland registered two assists.

Game 3 is Wednesday night in Texas.
