TUCSON, Arizona — Pima College is moving its soccer, basketball, and volleyball seasons to the spring of 2021.

The decision follows the Maricopa County schools decision to also move most sports to the spring. The National Junior College Athletic Association had already adjusted its plan for having sports in the spring.

"Moving these sports to the spring is a common-sense approach to the pandemic," Chancellor Lee D. Lambert said in a statement. "It protects the health and safety of our student-athletes while giving them the best opportunity to compete and succeed on and off the field."

Cross Country is still under review, and could still be played in the fall. A final decision has not yet been made.
