SAN FRANCISCO, Ca — Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott will step down on June 30th, the conference issued in a statement on Wednesday night.

Scott helped expand the conference to the modern twelve teams upon becoming commissioner during the 2010-11 academic season. He also helped oversee the creation of the Pac-12 Network.

"I was in pro sports for 20 years," said Scott. "I've now been in college athletics for more than 10 years, and now is a great time in my life to pursue other exciting opportunities."

A search for Scott's replacement will begin immediately.
