PHOENIX, Ariz — Former Arizona Wildcat 2012 College World Series star Seth Mejias-Brean is finally a Major Leaguer.
Mejias-Brean was called up the San Diego Padres before Tuesday's game with the Diamondbacks. He had been hitting .316 with 11 home runs for AAA El Paso.
Mejias-Brean was a big part of the 2012 championhisp run, hitting .372 wtih seven runs scored in the post season. He is the sixth, and likely the last, Wildcat from the 2012 title team to be called up to the Major Leagues.
