TUCSON, Ariz — Cate Reese had 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Arizona Wildcats won their first postseason game in 14 years by defeating Idaho State 66-56 in McKale Center.

"To not play in the post-season for eight years, and to come here with a great crowd, everyone did their job to get the fans here," said Arizona head coach Adia Barnes. "We didn't have our 'A' game for sure. It was ugly. I think besides the first five minutes of the game, we didn't play well. Having said that, I haven't met a win I did not like."

It was Reese's seventh double-double of the season, most by a Pac-12 freshman this season.

"We struggled a little bit today compared to the first time we played them," said Reese. "They made some runs, but we fought. We got some offense when we needed to."

The Wildcats had beaten Idaho State by 25 poitns to open the regular season. They will host Pacific in the second round on Tuesday.
