TUCSON, Ariz — Arizona Football began year number two under head coach Kevin Sumlin with its first spring practice.

The Wildcats took advantage of the new indoor Davis Sports Center, and also used the adjacent practice fields outside the facility.

It was the first time freshman QB Grant Gunnell, who broke the Texas high school passing record, was in a Wildcat Uniform. Khalil Tate begins his senior season at quarterback.

"We've got to find some leadership," said Sumlin. We didn't really have that last year. We have to find some internal leadership on this team."

Arizona is coming off a 5-7 season and a loss to ASU in the Territorial Cup Game. Another of the newcomers is running back coach DeMarco Murray, who was a star in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. He's expected to help recruit in Las Vegas and Phoenix.

The spring game is on April 13th.
