TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) -  More than a year after 13-year-old Jayden Glomb was found dead, her stepfather will stand trial for her murder. Glomb was found dead, her stepfather will stand trial for her murder.

Attorneys for both sides expect a long trial. The case against Joshua Lelevier is complex.

In court, attorneys for both sides agreed to a trial date of July 10, 2018, about 14 months after Jayden Glomb's murder.  They expect the trial to take three weeks.

Autopsy reports say 13-year-old Jayden Glomb was strangled but if there's evidence that directly ties Lelevier to the death it has not been made public.Glomb was strangled but if there's evidence that directly ties Lelevier to the death it has not been made public.

Instead investigators say they found evidence Lelevier had been spying on Jayden Glomb, using secret cameras to watch her in a bathroom.Glomb, using secret cameras to watch her in a bathroom.

They say they found suspicious behavior like a suicide note on the teen's computer composed at a time when only Joshua Lelevier was in the house.

A few days after Jayden Glomb's body was found Lelevier claimed someone attacked him from behind and tried to strangle him but investigators say he did not show injuries that matched a strangulation attack.

Soon after he was charged, Lelevier's wife Jessica filed for divorce. She had a child from Lelevier about the time the divorce became final.

Now her attorney, Matt Randle of RPM Law says she's struggling to cope with a new baby, expenses and knowledge of how her daughter died.  Randle says there is a donation page to help.

“She has received a significant amount of report from friends and family and the community at large and I think the largest piece of this from Jessica's perspective about how grateful she is.  I don't think you genuinely love and care about you until you're in a crisis moment."

And while she would probably rather have the trial over tomorrow she understands trials take time.
