TUCSON, Ariz. - A Tucson man was sentenced to life in prison Friday for murdering his girlfriend.
Mario Jesus Dorame was sentenced to natural life in prison without the possibility of parole for the 2017 murder of Maria Escobedo, 52, in 2017.
Dorame was also convicted of unlawful imprisonment, abandonment and concealment of a dead body and tampering with physical evidence.
On Oct. 1, 2017, officers found Escobedo dead in a home in the 5500 block of S. Tyndall Ave. with obvious signs of trauma.
