TUCSON, Ariz. - Filmmaker and actor Kevin Smith is touring the country with his new film, and he'll stop by Tucson in December to show it off.

With co-star Jason Mewes in tow, Smith will host a Q&A along with a screening of "Jay & Silent Bob Reboot."

Smith, who gained acclaim with the 1994 indie sensation "Clerks," also directed "Mallrats," "Chasing Amy," "Dogma" and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back." He also hosts a number of podcasts, has hosted a Showtime stand-up comedy special and has written several books.

"Jay & Silent Bob Reboot" stars Smith and Mewes and has cameos from Chris Hemsworth, Rosario Dawson, James Van Der Beek, Tommy Chong and Craig Robinson. The film has an extremely meta premise: When Jay (Mewes) and Silent Bob (Smith) discover Hollywood is making a reboot movie based on their characters, they head on a cross-country tour to stop it from happening.

The film opens theatrically Oct. 15. The tour kicks off Oct. 21 in Chicago, makes a stop in Phoenix Dec. 5 and wraps up Dec. 12 in Los Angeles.

The Tucson show starts at 7 p.m. Dec. 6.

General admission tickets are $50, with VIP experiences available for $200 and $750. For purchasing information, click here.
