AVENGERS: ENDGAME
The culmination of 22 Marvel Cinematic Universe films over 11 years blew away expectations on the way to conquering the all-time box office record. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holl and the rest of the star-studded cast shine in a twist-filled, gargantuan tale of superheroes coming together to save humanity from the genocidal villain Thanos. Bleeding-edge effects blend with confident performances and a magnificent script to forge a devastatingly satisfying superhero epic. For my full review, click here. Extras include a retrospective on comics icon Stan Lee, a look inside Downey's casting, numerous featurettes, deleted scenes and a gag reel.
DESCENDANTS 3
The Disney Channel's fan-service, teen-aimed movie series continues to thrive. Focusing on the offspring of famed villains from various Disney classics -- some who continue their sordid family traditions, while others band together to right the wrongs of the past -- the film wraps up a wild series of adventures in the realm of Auradon. Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart lead the cast. Extras include a blooper reel and deleted scenes.
A DOG'S JOURNEY
While many dismiss the spate of mawkishly narrated dog films as sappy, it's tough to deny their ability to tug at the heartstrings despite the predictable narratives. The latest of the bunch -- a sequel to "A Dog's Purpose" -- spins a tale of a farm dog who returns to the lives of loved ones in various incarnations. Extras include deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel and behind-the-scenes footage.
