He talked Tucson sports for three hours a day for five years, but Zach Clark is turning off his microphone and heading to his original hometown of Detroit.
Clark's wife got a marketing job in Detroit, and his final show on ESPN Radio Tucson is on Tuesday.
"I'll always remember Tucson for being open, warm, and accepting," said Clark, who moved here from a radio station in Arkansas. "Now, I consider myself to be a Tucsonan even though I am leaving."
When Clark arrived in 2013, 104.9 fm, also heard on 1490 am, expanded the show to three hours. He was a contributor on KGUN-TV's 'The Morning Blend,' and he made many appearances in the community, most recently at Iron Chef Tucson. The U of A grad will continue to follow his favorite teams in the Motor City.
"But, now, I'll have to be up at midnight to watch them."
