Arizona Wildcats running back J.J. Taylor was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week for the way he tore the Oregon State defense to shreds.
The conference made the announcement on its website.
In Arizona's 35-13 in Corvallis Sunday, Taylor ran 27 times for 284 yards and two touchdowns. It was the top rushing performance in FBS football this season, and the fourth-highest in Arizona history.
In addition to his running success, he returned a kickoff for 21 yards. His 305 all-purpose yards are the most by a Pac-12 player this season.
He leads the Pac-12 in rushing and is ninth overall in FBS.
Taylor is a sophomore who attended Peoria's Centennial High School.
