TUCSON, Arizona — International recruit Kerr Kriisa has committed to the University of Arizona, ESPN reported on Saturday morning.

Kriisa, who is Estonian-born, played for the Lithuanian team, Zalgris, last season. He averaged 14.8 points and 6.0 assists in 25 minutes.

Kriisa was named MVP of the Adidas Next Generational Tournament in Kaunas in 2019, which earned him an invite to the NBA's Basketball Without Borders Global Camp during All-Star Weekend in Charlotte.

Kriisa joins an Arizona team that lost its starting five to either graduation or early entry into the NBA draft. However, he joins a crowded backcourt that includes James Akinjo, Brandon Williams, Terrell Brown, and Jemarl Baker.

"I go there and start from zero and have to start proving once again in every practice that I deserve to be there with this great group of players," Kriisa told ESPN.
