Who will the Arizona Cardinals select at number one?

TUCSON, Ariz — Organizers are still preparing the corner of First and Broadway in Nashville for Thursday's NFL draft, but the Arizona Cardinals have their own fork in the road.

"We have not made a decision on the first overall pick," said Cardinals general manager Steve Keim.

Many projections have Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray as the best player in the draft. However, the Cardinals traded up last year for quarterback Josh Rosen. While Rosen had a rough rookie season, he was playing for an offensive coordintor who got fired midway through the season, and a head coach who was fired at the end of the season.

Adding fuel to the speculation is a comment new head coach Kliff Kingsbury made back in October while he was still the coach of Texas Tech. Kingsbury then said he would take Murray number one if he ever had the top selection.

Recently, Kingsbury has been complimentary of Rosen.

"He's been phenomenal," said Kingsbury. "He couldn't have been better, honestly. He's engaging. He's into it."

Rosen told Sports Illustrated, "You have to be aware to a certain extent. You have to understand the decision. Football is a business. It is what it is. I definitely respect the higher ups and their decision."

Now, the Cardinals have to decide if they will take Murray, or stand by their man in Nashville, Josh Rosen.

"We're prepared for next Thursday," said Keim. "We're extremely excited, and we're ready to kick off the 2019 NFL draft."
