TUCSON, Ariz. - Incoming University of Arizona recruit Nico Mannion has been named one of three finalists for the prestigious Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year award.

Mannion, who has already won Arizona's Gatorade Player of the Year, just led Pinnacle High School in Phoenix to its second straight state title. He averaged thirty points, six rebounds, six assists, and six steals during his senior season. He is a five-star recruit, and considered to be the best high school point guard in the nation.

Mannion volunteers his time for causes such as suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

The other finalists are James Wiseman from Tennessee, and R.J. Hampton from Texas. The winner will be announced later this week.
