Arizona Basketball head coach Sean Miller is reportedly set to hire Justin Gainey to fill his remaining vacant assistant head coaching job.
Gainey has been an assistant Santa Clara, where he's worked under Herb Sendek. Gainey played under the two coaches when they were together at N.C. State
Gainey has also coached at Marquette, where he worked under Mark Phelps, another Arizona assistant. He also worked at Appalachian State.
It is not yet known if any of the current assistant coaches will be Miller's associate head coach.
News of Gainey's hire was first reported by Jon Rothstein of CBS sports.
