Trenton Bourguet's name is butchered just in the way he carves up opposing defenses.
It's pronounced 'Bour-gay,' and public address announcers are expecting to call his name a lot again this season. Bourguet threw for 38 touchdowns and nearly three thousand yards a season ago.
"Trenton is unbelievable smart," said first year head coach Louie Ramirez. "He understands the game of football. He's grown up with it. He can make all the throws, and he's elusive with a command of the huddle."
Even though Bourguet is entrenched as the starter, he's looking over his shoulder. That's because he has two brothers on the team. Coben is a wide receiver / quarterback, and Treyson is a freshman quarterback.
"We call them the Bouguet clan," said Ramirez.
"They are always asking me questions about plays and formations and I learn from them and their strengths," said Trenton Bourguet.
Also on the roster this season is offensive lineman Jordan Morgan, who is headed to the University of Arizona.
