Salpointe volleyball has won its second straight state title.
The Lancers defeated Peoria Sunrise Mountain in five sets, winning 15-13 in the decisive final set. The game was played at Phoenix Mountain Pointe High School. Andrea Owens had the winning kill.
Heather Moore-Martin's team finishes with a 34-6 record, having won its last ten matches.
The Lancers won their first-ever state crown a year ago, when they beat Phoenix Mountain Pointe.
