TUCSON, Arizona — Arizona football won't be playing in 2020, but the Wildcats picked up a win in recruiting as Salpointe QB Treyson Bourguet committed to the Wildcats.
Bourguet, a 3-star recruit in the class of 2022, helped lead Salpointe to the state championship game in last year's open division. He sat out the first half of his sophomore season after transferring from Marana.
"Growing up, I spent almost every Saturday going to games at Arizona Stadium," Bourguet wrote on twitter. "That is why I'm excited and honored to announce my commitment to earn my college degree and play college football at the University of Arizona."
Bourguet chose Arizona over Vanderbilt, where he also had a scholarship offer.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
