Ean Chavez accounted for seven touchdowns as Yuma Catholic outscored Sabino, 75-43, to advance to the class 3A high school football championship game.
In a game played at Shadow Mountain High School, Chavez scored six rushing touchdowns and also had an eighty yard receiving score on a screen play in the second quarter.
The Sabercats ten game winning streak came to an end. It was their first loss since sophomore A.J. Skaggs was inserted as their starting quarterback.
Yuma Catholic will play Northwest Christian next Friday in the class 3A championship game at Campo Verde high school.
