TUCSON, Arizona — UArizona alum and longtime member of the volleyball community Matt Dyck is the newest Wildcat assistant coach.

Dyck brings experience after having been the head coach of Central Arizona College, and the first assistant of Eastern Washington University.

"This is kind of where my volleyball journey started," siad Dyck. "And the fact that I get to come back and work for Dave (Rubio) and Rita (Stubbs), it’s pretty special."

The question now becomes how soon Dyck will get to coach. Arizona has hit the pause button on bringing student-athletes back to facilities, and if and when they do play, it will be only Pac-12 games.

"Right now, we are in a delayed start," said head coach Dave Rubio. "Until we get the word from the administration that we can report, right now, we are kind of in limbo."

Dyck's sister, Amy, was Arizona's setter from 2004-2007 and his father, Jack, was a volunteer assistant coach in 2014.
