Jessie Harper hit three home runs and took over the NCAA lead in that category as Arizona Softball defeated Auburn, 12-3, to win the Tucson Regional of the NCAA Tournament.
"I'm not really thinking too much about it as long as I can help the team out," said Harper, who now has 28 home runs on the season. "As long as I can help the team, and our team feeds off of it. We want to pass that bat and get the next person up to bat."
"It's one thing to have power," said head coach Mike Candrea. "It's another to put it on display in big games. That's what we live by. She's pretty phenomenal when she's seeing the ball well. She hits them out of every part of the ballpark, too."
The Wildcats won all three games it played while hosting the Tucson Regional at Hillenbrand Stadium, including beating Auburn twice.
Arizona will host Ole Miss in next weekend's Super Regional, in a best two out of three format with the winner going to the Women's World Series.
