Catalina Foothills head football coach Jeff Scurran is resting at home after being released from the hospital on Saturday.
Scurran collapsed on the field after the Falcons 21-17 loss at Sabino. Earlier in the evening, Scurran was inducted into the Sabino Sabercats Sports Hall of Fame, as he had won three state titles there as head coach.
"It was a combination of a lot of factors including dehydration," said the 71year old Scurran over the phone. "I feel sorry for giving everyone such a scare. I appreciate all the well-wishers."
Scurran said tests came back negative. Catalina Foothills has a bye week.
