TUCSON, Arizona — Mike Bibby was a fiery Arizona freshman who became a national champion who became an All-American.
Bibby was the head coach of Shadow Mountain high school during its dynasty of the past decade, and he's now looking to get into professional coaching.
"I want to do either the G league or the NBA," said Bibby. "One of the two. In high school, I did all I really can. I love teaching kids. I love teaching the game of basketball. But, I think it’s time for me to move on and go to a higher level."
Bibby will be playing in "The 5 Tournament" next week in Las Vegas. It’s a pay per view event involving former NBA players. He explained why these summer basketball tournaments have become so popular
"You know, people want to see sports. Basketball or any kind of sport has been off for a while. I think people like seeing the old time rivalries, and guys play that are older but still have that fire to play. I think it’s good entertainment."
