TUCSON, Arizona — NFL rookies are scheduled to report to training camp this week, but former Arizona quarterback Khalil Tate will not be one of them.
The Philadelphia Eagles released Tate amid reports teams may have to trim training camp rosters from 90 to approximately 75.
Tate was an undrafted free agent and had signed with the Eagles as a wide receiver. As a Wildcat quarterback, he accounted for 75 touchdowns during his collegiate career.
Tate has not had a chance to work out at club facilities or practice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
