Cornell basketball forward Stone Gettings has verbally committed to play for the Arizona Wildcats, according to 247 sports.
The 6-foot-8 Los Angeles native will redshirt the 2018-19 season and plans on graduating in December before transferring to Arizona. He will then use his final year of eligibility to play for the Wildcats in the 2019-20 season.
Last season with the Big Red, Gettings averaged 16.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting 49 percent from the floor and 37 percent from three-point range.
"I received interest and everything from a lot of different schools and at the end of the day I felt a lot of confidence in Sean Miller and the history of Arizona," he told 247 Sports' Evan Daniels. "I feel like it's going to give me the best opportunity to reach my full potential. I'm really excited to be apart of the rich history of the program and be close to home."
