TUCSON, Ariz — Arizona Women's Basketball will host Idaho State on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the first round of the WNIT.

This is the first time since 2011 that Arizona has been part of the postseason, and the first time since 2001 that they will host a postseason game. The ladies have a record of 18-13, including 7-11 in the Pac-12.

"It means a lot," said guard Aari McDonald. "Especially when a program hasn't been to the post season in so many years. It just definitely tells you were this team is headed."

The Wildcats make the post-season in the third year for head coach Adia Barnes, who was a player on the 1996 Arizona team that won the WNIT.

"We were a young team," said Barnes. "There were seven freshmen from California. I think its similar to how we are not. Hopefully, we can repeat that."

It'll be the second meeting of the season between the two teams, as the Wildcats won the season opener, 71-46.

If the Wildcats win, they will play the winner of Fresno State and Pacific in the second round.
