TEMPE, Ariz — Aari McDonald scored 20 points before fouling out and the 18th ranked WIldcats held on for a 58-53 at ASU for their first win in Tempe since 2000.

Sam Thomas blocked a 3-point attempt and hit two clutch free throws to preserve the victory. Cate Reese added 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Wildcat defense held the Sun Devils to 30% shooting from the field, and just 11% from beyond the 3-point arc.
