TUCSON, Ariz — It'll be the U of A versus Team USA in softball at Hillenbrand Stadium on Tuesday night.
Arizona will host Team USA in an exhibition game. WIldcat head coach Mike Candrea won gold for as Team USA's coach in the 2004 Olympics in Greece.
"I'm very excited to welcome them here in Tucson, and show the support that we get in this community," said Candrea. "But more importantly, to be a part of their tour, and wish them the very best when they get to Tokyo and bring back that gold medal.
Team USA catcher Dejah Mulipola played the last three seasons for the WIldcats, and now returns to Hillenbrand Stadium as a visitor.
"It feels amazing," said Mulipola. "It's weird to be on the other side on the other dugout. It's the same red white, and blue uniform. Just playing for my country now."
