Gila County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a Phoenix man fell to his death north of Roosevelt Lake Saturday.
Officials say at around 5:10 p.m., they started receiving calls about a man who had fallen near the area of Workman Creek Falls.
Sheriff J. Adam Shepherd says the man, later identified as Glendale resident, Justin Ott, 32, died from the injuries he sustained during the fall.
Deputies and detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau, GCSO Posse, and Tonto Rim Search and Rescue Rope Team were called in to help recover Ott's body from the bottom of the falls.
This is an ongoing investigation, and next of kin has been notified, GCSO says.
