Woman sentenced to 20 years in prison for deadly DUI

TUCSON, Ariz. - A drunk driver who killed a 21-year-old woman in a 2017 crash was sentenced Monday to 20 years in prison.

Erin Eman was arrested for several hit-and-run wrecks leading to a July 2017 wreck at Pantano and Stella. Hannah Parkhurst, 21, died of injuries from the crash.

Eman faced charges including second-degree murder, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in vehicle damage and DUI. Loved ones describe Parkhurst as loving, compassionate and caring .

In May, Eman pled guilty to the second-degree murder charge and various other offenses related to the wreck that led to the death of Parkhurst. In June, she added pleas to theft of property or services, solicitation to unlawfully possess a narcotic drug violation and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Eman's sentences for the other charges were concurrent to her second-degree murder sentence of 20 years in prison. She received credit for 681 days served.
