TUCSON, Ariz. — A Vail man accused of killing his wife, daughter and attempting to kill his son has plead guilty to two counts of first-degree murder, and one count of attempted murder on June 10.

PIma County Sheriff's deputies say Hernando Enriquezkilled his 43-year-old wife, Sandra Enriquez, and his 15-year-old daughter Isabelle Enriquez at their Vail home. He also tried to kill his 17-year-old son. The son showed up to the home after the wife and daughter's deaths.

His dad tried to kill him, first hitting him with a hammer. The son was able to get away and ran to a neighbors house.

Enriquez was later found in the backyard in a ditch.

Deputies say he killed his family after planning the crime for two or three days.

His sentencing is on August 19 at 10:30 a.m.
