TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson police identified a bicyclist killed Wednesday near East Fort Lowell Road and North Geronimo Avenue.

Police say 67-year-old Earl Nolan Plunkett died from injuries he suffered at a wreck at 7:56 a.m. Wednesday. A 2005 Ford Focus was driving eastbound on Fort Lowell at high speeds, hitting Plunkett while he was riding northbound on Geronimo. Plunkett failed to stop at a stop sign at Fort Lowell and the car hit him on the front passenger side.

The driver of the Focus cooperated with the investigation.

No charges or citations hae been issued.
