TUCSON, Ariz. — Parents now have another way to check out books for their kids. The Pima County Library are introducing an online catalog of children's read-along e-books.

“Our youngest readers are going to love this ebook read-along collection,” said Holly Schaffer, Community Relations Manager at Pima County Public Library. “There are hundreds of titles to choose from, so whether it’s Pete the Cat or Scaredy Squirrel, kids and their families will have pages and pages to bond over, all at the touch of their fingertips.”

The books are now available to anyone with a valid library card.

"So they're professionally narrated picture books for children and it's really easy to use. You can check out that book for three weeks, just like you would a physical book, but you would get it on the computer or on a digital device," says Kendra Davey with Pima County Libraries.

Even better news, parents do not have to worry about late fees since the e-books get automatically returned.

This service is compatible with all major computers and devices, iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ phones and tablets and Chromebook™ without waitlists or holds.
