TUCSON, Ariz. — The Pima County Sheriff's Department is hosting its Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony on Friday, but it will be different due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The ceremony is to recognize the 14 department members who have died in the line of duty.
PCSD announced on Facebook the event is still scheduled for May 15 at 9 a.m., but will not be open to the public. "We could not allow Police Week to pass without paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice," the post stated.
The event will be streamed on Facebook Premier.
