TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Oro Valley Town Council finally came to a decision about its golf courses during a meeting Wednesday night.
The discussion has been a polarizing topic among the people who live in Oro Valley. Earlier this year, the town announcedit wanted to close all of the courses for financial reasons.
In a 6-1 vote, councilmembers decided to keep two course with 36 holes but with some conditions. Those include raising membership rates by 10% by January 1, 2020, welcoming outside play at the course and trying to recruit more members.
