SOUTH TUCSON, Ariz. — One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation after a house fire in South Tucson.
Tucson Fire and South Tucson Fire crews were called to the area of 34th Street and 7th Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, after callers reported smoke and flames coming from a home.
Firefighters saw smoke coming from a guest house and worked to put out the flames and look for people who may have been inside. Crews found a small fire in the kitchen area and were able to quickly put the flames out.
Only one person was inside at the time of the fire and was able to escape.
No firefighters were hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
