TUCSON, Ariz. — No injuries were reported after flames fully engulfed a home on the eastside Saturday afternoon.

Tucson Fire says callers reported a garage fire in the 7700 block of E. Lee St. just before 5 p.m..

When crews first arrived, they found the home had become fully engulfed. Firefighters first had to try and put out the flames from the outside of the home. Crews were also busy trying to protect adjoining homes from the heat radiating form the house fire.

During the fire fight, TFD says an energized electrical line melted from the house and fell into the yard. That posed an electrocution hazard for firefighters. Tucson Electric Power was called to secure the downed electric power line.

TFD says the person living in the home notified firefighters that everyone had evacuated. No one was hurt. The Red Cross is assisting the victim displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
