TUCSON, Ariz. -- Northwest Healthcare is announcing a new 70-bed hospital that is coming to Tucson's eastside to bring expanded healthcare delivery and service to the growing community.
The new facility will be at the southwest corner of Old Spanish Trail and Houghton Road. Pending approval from the City of Tucson, the new 183,000 square-foot hosptial will add 595 healthcare jobs. Its expected to add $567 million to the local economy over the next five years.

"There has been increased demand for full service medical care from the growing population on the southeast side of Tucson and unincorporated Pima County. I am glad to see Northwest Hospital making the investment to bring high-paying jobs and expanded medical service to this part of our county," said Chuck Huckelberry, Pima County Administrator.
According to a news release, Northwest Healthcare has invested nearly $70 million in capital projects to increase access and enhance health services for the Tucson community since 2014.
