TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Cochise County Sheriff's Deputy was treated for injuries after being involved in a vehicle crash while responding to a shooting Monday.
The Cochise County Sheriff's Office says deputies from the Sierra Vista District were responding to a shooting around 8 p.m. in the Whetstone area when one of the deputies was involved in a crash. It happened on Highway 90 near Airport Road.
CCSO says the deputy was taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. No one else was hurt.
Detectives investigating the shooting say it is likely a domestic violence case involving shots being fired. Officials say shots were allegedly fired at a man and a woman was taken into custody.
The Sierra Vista Police Department is looking into the vehicle crash.
