NOGALES, Ariz. — The City of Nogales is encouraging water customers to conserve as it works to fix two water main breaks that happened on Saturday.
In a Facebook post, the city says its water department was notified at 1 a.m. Saturday that a particular area of the city did not have water. "After further inspection, we found a 16 inch broken water main. We will be pumping water to the affected area, however there will most likely be less water pressure than normal," the city said.
Two large water mains required repairs. One was by Mariposa Ranch Road and the other in Nogales Wash by Baffert Drive.
As of Monday morning, the westside of the city was still experiencing a water outage. All customers are being asked to conserve so the system can recover from the water lost.
