TUCSON, Ariz. — CORDES LAKES, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities have released the names of two people who were killed in the crash of a small plane in a remote area of Yavapai County.

County Sheriff’s officials say the victims were 34-year-old William Engel Bell of the Phoenix suburb of Peoria and his 8-year-old daughter Amira Caballero. Authorities say the two were the only persons aboard the single-engine Lancair 235 that was reported missing after departing Saturday from Deer Valley Airport near Phoenix for Page Municipal Airport.

Sheriff’s officials say an Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter located the wreckage of the plane about 5 ½ miles east southeast of Cordes Lakes shortly after noon Monday. Rescue crews say the plane was found upside down on its wings and the two people aboard were dead.
