United Way is a local nonprofit that fights for quality education, financial stability and healthy communities for every person in Tucson and Southern Arizona, and convenes organizations from all sectors in Southern Arizona including business, non-profits and government agencies in order to unite people, ideas and resources to build a thriving community for all of us.

Donating to United Way is the best and most impactful way to get involved and to help our community. Because of United Way’s networks, a $1 donation creates a $5 impact.

Donations will go towards:

Education programs such as My Summer Library - 12 free books for each student at low-income elementary schools. (184,972 books given this year)

Financial Stability programs such as VITA – Free tax prep to anyone earning up to $66k annually. ($25.3 million in refunds to our economy this year)

Healthy Communities programs such as ELDER Alliance - 8,961 seniors were able to stay in their homes thanks to supportive services)

United Way of Tucson offers support to people in our community from Cradle to Career, Career to Retirement and Retirement to End of Life. That support comes in the form of education programs for children, creating financial stability for families and providing end of life services for seniors. United Way works with hundreds of partners to find sustainable solutions that help build a thriving community. UNITED WE ALL WIN

The United Way Helping the Working poor fund qualifies for the AZ Charitable Tax Credit. This fund supports job-skills training, affordable childcare, educational opportunities, emergency services and more, to the Working Poor in our community.
