While Bruce Springsteen has never been short on street cred, he's now got the endorsement of a U.S. president.
Barack Obama has included the Springsteen track "Hello Sunshine" on his "Favorite Music of 2019" list, which he revealed Monday on social media. The song, from the Boss' "Western Stars" album, is among 35 of Obama's selections.
"From hip-hop to country to the Boss, here are my songs of the year," reads Obama's introduction to the rundown.
"If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick."
Springsteen's inclusion should come as no surprise, as Obama has publicly declared his love for the Jersey native's music a number of times over the years. He's awarded Springsteen the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the rocker returned the favor by entertaining the Obamas with a private White House performance in 2016.
Other songs on his list of favorites include; DaBaby-Suge, The Black Keys-Go, Bruce Springsteen-Hello Sunshine, The Black Keys-Go, Lil Nas X ftg Billy Ray Cyrus-Old Town Road and Lizzo-Juice just to name a few.
